Earth Hour

Earth Hour is a period of time when all the people turn off the lights. This year 2012 is on the 31st of March from 8:30pm until 9:30pm. In just 1 hour a lot of energy can be saved. Earth Hour is celebrated around the world. This is organised by WWF (World Wildlife Fund ) which mission is to stop the degradation of the Earth's natural environment and build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
Before celebrating Earth Hour in our English class we watched the official video giving information, we watched images from around the world from last year. We could see the difference between before and after switching off lights in different cities in the world.

In our school, each person has done some commitment trying to protect our planet. The students of 2 ESO have created a wall display which can be seen in our school’s corridor and in our classroom too.
